I have found that newsprint paper will work and it is a lot cheaper. It's thinner than copy paper and the paper piecing paper and it removes rather easily. I found it the cheapest on Amazon

Quilting professionally or just for personal use is a rewarding art form being enhanced by the imagination of young and old.

I don't paper piece but it sounds like a great hint for those that do.
The ceaper the paper is the better it is for paper piecing. I just hate the special paper they make for the task as it is so hard to pull off. I do like the transparency of it, but the cheaper paper works better in my mind.
Does it go through the printer or do you have to cut it first?
I buy the cheapest quality print paper and it tears very easily and is cheaper - usually under $3 for 500 sheets.
A friend of mine suggested buying the paper that sandwiches get wrapped in at sandwich shops. I have used it and it is great. It comes in different sizes and you can buy huge quantities from resturant supply stores. I don't like paper piecing but when I do it that is what I use.
