After all the cooking and cleaning
After all the family and friends
After all the Black Friday deals
After not being in the sewing room for what seems like months

I managed to put together the dragons my husband made. He really liked the checker board look with the yellow. I wasn't too crazy about it but turned out ok. I didn't want to do that with the dragons I made on the yellow. I will have to think about mine for awhile.

Embroidery Floss Winner

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I cooked alot and ate waaaay too much but we saw most of our children and had a very full day. I am glad it's over - now maybe I can get back to my sewing.

I used the random number generator. I can't figure out how to copy it so I will just have to relate the number

Embroidery Floss Giveaway

Things have been really hectic lately and I haven't been able to spend any time in the sewing room. I have really neglected my blog lately so I  thought I would make up for it and offer one of my followers this box of embroidery floss. Dragons and Fence

My husband finished all his dragons Friday. I trimmed them up, put them on the wall(2 fell off) and started working on the sashing and border.

I trimmed up mine but I still have 2 more to finish

This is what I spent my weekend on. As you can see there was no sewing for me. I have come to the conclusion that I'm getting too old for this kind of work. I did the fence and my brother and his wife worked on an awning over the concrete slab in the back yard. Both of us are lamenting our sore muscles.

More Dragons

I made some more Dragons last night. Now I only have 3 more to go

I started my husband on another set on blue fabric. I'm not crazy about the blue but he likes it.

He's getting pretty good at this. Soon I'll have him doing all kinds of things - and save me some time

Dragons Anyone?

I got a request for a baby quilt and I had these patterns that I hadn't tried yet. So I thought I'd see what these looked like - there are 10 total. These are going to make such a cute quilt

Block Received

I received another block yesterday for my Block Swap. I hate to admit it but I'm behind again in getting mine out. I'm past due for October. Hopefully I will be able to get to them this weekend. Last weekend I did get the binding on the 3 quilts I recently finished.

This was sent to me in an email and I thought I would share

NO MORE FLOOR

I finally have a wall that I can use for design. I moved the hanging rack I have had in front of this wall to give me more space in the sewing room and I have been looking at this wall for weeks now. Last night I thought I'd give this a try. There isn't a whole lot of room to move around but at least I can put my pieces here instead of the floor.

So these are the 1st pieces to go on the wall.

I'm not crazy about the rectangles

I think I like the diamonds better (doesn't really matter now). I have a few ideas for sashing and placement.

This sure gives me a better visual and I can leave it up while I think on it.
