Embroidered Dolls Quilt

30 year project finally finished.
I played with the pebbles and used 3 different colors of thread. It was all the same brand but for some reason the pink did the best. I really had a hard time with the purple. I couldn't seem to go over the circles without getting out of whack.
As I stated before I embroidered this 30 years ago when I was expecting my 2nd daughter. I don't know if I told her it was hers or she just claimed it but she has been waiting for me to finish it. Her 30th birthday is in 3 weeks and all I have left is make the sleeve and clip threads - I can drag that out for 3 weeks.

My camera fogged up on me when I took it outside for the pictures. I thought it had thawed but I guess not

Absolutely beautiful! I can not imagine hand embroidering anything like that. Your daughter will love it.

Woohoo!!!! This must be a very satisfying finish - both because it's been so long in development, and because it's so very wonderful. I just love your dolls and all the work on them. Lucky daughter! it's definitely worth the wait.

A 30 yr love affair! I would have trouble parting with it - even for a daughter.

I must have had trouble posting comments the last time I saw this. I used to dream of a quilt like this.. and WOW you already made it. I don't know if I really have the temprament to hand embroider for 30 years though LOL. Too many other lovely projects to make in my mind.
