My Blog Hop Winner

The best part about a Blog Hop is actually winning one.
The worst part for me is having to pick a winner.
I read every comment and try to answer all of them. I might not get to them as quickly as I should but I really do enjoy reading them and appreciate them.
Like so many things that I don't excell in writing is one of them. I can think of all kinds of things to say until I sit in front of the keyboard.
Just to let you know that I really do appreciate all the people that visit my blog -

And you are probably wondering about the winner of my giveaway.................

Well I used the True Random Number Generator

Quilter’s Blog Hop Party with Give-Aways

How about another Blog Hop Party

in honor of St. Patrick's Day starting March 16th and lasting until March 23rd.
I have a few things I would like to give one of my lucky followers.
I appreciate all the people that take the time to stop by my blog.

I was going to list all these seperately but I think a picture will do.
All these items will go to one follower.
I won't be able to ship internationally.
A list of participating bloggers will be available on Quilting Gallery On Saturday, March 17th, shortly after midnight. Check it out and join the party.
I will draw a winner on March 23
Good luck and have fun at the party

Strips and Salsa

I had to hurry up and finish that last quilt so I could put another one into the frame for another customer. So what did I do --- I started piecing another quilt top. Like I needed another one right now.

I managed to get all the pieces put together in one day. Very easy pattern. Used up alot of my 2.5" scraps. I did plan ahead on this one and bought some blue fabric for the backing  -  I didn't want to use white again.
I couldn't stand it and had to lay it out to see what it was going to look like. No matter that I had the pattern and could see what it looked like, it's different when you actually have the pieces made up.

I layed out these and sorted thru the rest of the pieces and decided to quit.  ---
I didn't want to spend the time having to pick it all up.

Now I have to put it aside and get that quilt in the frame and started.

Of course that's after I spend the weekend in the yard getting THAT mess cleaned up. My brother and his wife are coming over to help with that and we'll just have to do a crawfish boil to reward our efforts  -

I can't wait (for the crawfish)

My mouth is watering already

Sunset finished

Whew --- I finally finished this quilt. I worked on it all day yesterday and today just to get it out so I can put another one in that I need to get done by the 1st week in April.
This is why I haven't blogged anything in a while. Hopefully I won't get that tied up again.

I did alot more to this than I really intended

But it did turn out nice.... minus a few mistakes.

I did learn alot so I guess it was worth it

You can't tell any of the quilting on this one.

Shame I can't take better pictures
