Mini Pinwheels

I have beem making alot of half square triangles lately and the scraps have been piling up.
I have such a hard time throwing away anything. So I've been throwing these little scraps into my scrap bin. I figured I could use them for applique.
Well the scrap bin is overflowing and lets face it I'll probably never use all that's in it.
So I thought I would start a Mini Pinwheel project.
If I sew the triangles together as I do them then I shouldn't get too far behind (riiight!)

It should be a nice scrap quilt someday.
Of course at this size it will probably take me awhile to complete it

I throw those into a box and keep it by the machine - use them as leader/enders occassionally and trim them to size - then those are stored in size. Great for doll quilts, minis, fillers for scrap quilts - and the work is already done.

It will be beautiful when it is finished. And you don't have to make a big quilt--maybe a doll quilt or a baby quilt. I have been saving mine, too. I am making 4" blocks with mine and they are so adorable.I think they will make a wonderful baby quilt--someday.
