Back in Action

Don't know if anyone has noticed but I have been MIA since the end of March. Had a family emergency that has kept me out of the loop. I haven't even been able to see what everyone else have been up too. I missed reading all the blog enteries.
I was finally able to get back in the sewing room. That's the best therapy for me.

I was able to get my twin log cabins quilted for my grandsons
You can't see the quilting until you get close

I put their names on the sides with the year.

I found a really cool chevron fabric for the backing.

I took this while I was quilting it just to make sure I was liking the pattern

The minute I laid the red one down he hopped on and wouldn't get off.
The back of this one is just like the blue except it is red, black and white.
This has his name on it as well.

Here is a peak of a baby quilt I need to have done in 3 weeks.
If it turns out like I have pictured in my mind it will be really cute.

I have done a few more things but mostly I have been rearranging and cleaning when I had any spare time. My rearranging is basically just shuffling from one spot to another - I guess that is the definition of rearranging (duh)

Whoever said there is a place for everything has never been to my house! I do a lot of "rearranging" also! LOL!

I love these log cabin quilts! I like the borders you added. How interesting for the log cabin! Really gives it a lot character!
