Storybook Quilt & Giveaway

I did these crinolines a few years ago. Even had it put together.
I am trying to knock out some UFO's and this was just begging to be quilted.
When I put it on the frame I wanted to make it special for one of my granddaughters.
So when I settled on this design I knew it was perfect.
You might have to zoom in a little to see the design
Makes it look like a storybook.
So I named it the Storybook quilt.
I think she will love it.

I have spent 2 days working in my sewing room trying to get it organized AGAIN.
So when I was putting up fabrics I decided to take a bunch of the smaller pieces and strip them up with my GO cutter.
This took all day today
I ended up with a nice size mess and even nicer pile of 2.5" strips.
I still have a stack of 1.5" I need to do but that will have to wait.
I've played around long enough now I need to get back to work.
I have a project I want to attempt and it will probably take me a couple of weeks.
So in the mean time.....................

I would like to have a small giveaway.
I have set aside a little more than 100 2.5" strips to give to one of my followers.
Just leave a comment
I will pick a winner next Sunday Feb 28.

The story book quilt is just adorable! Look at that mess on the floor - oh, I love that!! My kind of work in progress day just to tackle those. That is a lot of strips and would make for a great Hands2Help quilt using one of Sarah's Nifty 9's patterns.

An organization day is just what this quilter's room desperately needs. Maybe when the current project tops are finished - yeah, I've said that before! Wonderful giveaway, would be super for a couple donation quilts.

I love my Go cutter and can relate to the mess. I would need to hire someone to come in and organize my sewing room and office/craft room (there are lots of fabrics there also but only scottie prints)I do have a tote of 2.5" strips that I have been staring at lately and wondering if I nee to add something to it. Another color or print? Now you have me thinking again. Would love to add yours to it. Kind of someone else's choices!
Love the quilt. Lots of love went into that.

I love the Storybook quilt. It will be a treasure.

It's so nice to see such messes in other sewing rooms. I thought it was just me. ;-)

The storybook quilt is so cute. I love how you framed each block in it own matching color. Your grand daughter is going to love it and I bet it will be passed down to her daughter.

I wish I had a cutter to make a tiresome job faster. Your strips would make a great charity quilt or two. Rina

Your storybook quilt is adorable. I can see where a go cutter would really be handy. Scraps of others always look more interesting than my own. Thanks for the giveaway.

Your Storybook quilt is wonderful. Takes me back a few years. I would be happy, thrilled to have the strips. I see a bunch of quilts finished and out the door made with them. The timing would be perfect too because a group of us are making string quilts to donate.

I love your quilts. I started cutting up my scraps also but I wasn't quite as ambitious as you were.
