Basket's done

Well, I finally finished the basket quilt. Now all it needs is the binding.
Notice anything on the back
On the second row the second basket I missed the fill on the handle. I will have to use my home machine to fix it. And I thought I had done such a good job.
I managed to get 2 quilts done in the month of January - Hopefully I can keep it up the rest of the year.

Progress

My husband finally finished my sewing thread caddy. He made one for my embroidery room and I liked it so much that I asked him to make one for the sewing room.

I cleared out 5 plastic drawers full of serger thread that now occupy 4 of the shelves of the caddy. I knew I had alot of serger thread but didn't realize it was that much. Now I can use those drawers for storage - which one of them is already beginning to fill up.
I cleared out 4 small plastic drawers with regular thread and that filled close to 2 shelves. I have more thread in another cabinet that I need to bring in here but those will have to wait. I got side tracked and moved to another project.

I'm still cramped for space but with no other options I make it work. At least this is progress ----

Here is a progress picture of the current quilt in the frame. I have since rolled it 2 more times and have 2 more to go. I've been trying to make sure I quilt on it a little each day --- two reasons --one to continue the practice and 2 to get it finished. I have so many tops that need quilting that I need to stay on top of it more this year

At least that is progress too. For me that is saying alot.

A Few More Things

My sister cut this out for me and I just couldn't wait to put it together. The pattern ended with the white border and I decided to add the rest. I was in such a hurry to get it done so I could get back to things I really needed to do that I wasn't paying attention and messed up all 4 corners. I folded it up and put it away with all the other tops that need quilting. I figured when I get ready to quilt it I will fix it then.

This is the current quilt in the frame. I can't make up my mind on the baskets yet. They have a heavy paper backing on them that is making them look a little odd. I would like to leave them alone and just might. Hopefully I will get it finished this weekend.
Then I will have 2 quilts to bind - I still haven't done the heart quilt yet.

Been having trouble with my feet hurting after standing at the quilting machine so I went to Harbor Freight and bought a set of these floor mats. At first I just figured they hurt trying to hold up all this weight - I'm sure that is part of the problem. They have really helped.  Need  all the help I can get
