Dresden Plates

It's been such a hectic week I haven't had much luck getting to the computer to make many posts. My oldest friend passed away Thursday and I have to go to the funeral today. It's so sad she was only 50. Being raised in the Army and moving around so much I haven't had many lasting friendships. When I first moved here Jane was the 1st friend I made and we have been friends for 31 years. Makes you realize how short life really is.

I have managed to get a few more Dresden Plates done. I'm halfway there. I was hoping all I would need was 20 blocks but have decided to double that. And with that I decided to add more backgroung colors. I started working on those last night.

I placed what I had out to see how I wanted to arrange them and took pictures to help see what would look better. It always helps to see it in a picture.
I'm not crazy about this layout

I like something like this better

I am so sorry to hear about Jane. Yes, 50 is way too young.

I really like those Dresdens on the hexagons.

So sorry for the loss of your friend....when you have a friend that long, they are family.

Love your Dresdens....

Sorry for the loss of a dear friend. I agree with Barb - long term friends are like family.

Sorry about your friend. I lost a good friend to cancer a couple of years ago. I still feel lost without her and think about her often.
I like the second layout the best also.
