Dear Jane
I have fell in love with this quilt and have decided to give it a try. I know it will probably end up in my unfinished project pile but it will be something to shoot for. I am currently trying to gather the fabrics I will need. I have a brand new plastic container to store all the fabrics and blocks (when finished) in. I already have a few pieces. It's a shame I don't have my grandmothers old shoe box of scraps. I think I'm going to make all the blocks by hand. This will be a plus in that I will be able to work on them anywhere.
Isn't it great to set such high goals. Seems I don't do anything the easy way.

Oh...I have so been wanting to do one of these as well....I was going to in Samoa but Vance talked me out of it and he usually does not care what I do...so have fun, I will live through you.
Good luck in your wonderful venture in making the Dear Jane quilt. Great idea to make it by hand so you can work on it anywhere. I look forward to watching your progress.
This is a beauty.. I've seen them done up in color schemes which was a true delight to view.. for me that would be a wonder. I know that I would choose reds.. Well washed reds !! Blues would look delightful too like that old delft china.. hmmmm decisions.. but I would certainly choose a color theme.
Those are SOOOOOOO Cool!! Way, way, way, too much for me!! But go-for-it!! Just keep us posted on your progress so we can cheer you on!!
It is fun. I need to pull mine out of the UFO file... Enjoy. What colors are you doing?
Each year I say that I am going to start this. I love this quilt!!!
