I'm attempting something new for a quilt and I threw these 2 sections together out of scraps to see about what size I might want. The yellow is 2.5 blocks and the other is 1.75. Of course the smaller one would take more time to make but I think I'm leaning a little more toward it. I still don't know for sure yet. And then I need to finish designing the entire quilt. It would be so much easier if I'd just pick a pattern and go with it but nooooooo I have to make things difficult.

Well I like tiny - but I love the color and pattern design in the yellow/brown 2.5" blocks. I think it would hold the integrity of the whole design, where the smaller, darker color will start to meld and lose the pattern to the eye. Sound like mud?
I like tiny too but I think the color combination of the small one would look spectacular in the larger size.
Are you doing cathedral windows? I like circles so both look good to me.
I am always the odd man out...sorry but I like the bigger ones....you can see it better and you can do some awesome quilting in there....
